Today, I wanted to do an oldie but a goodie: the Guilty Reader Book tag! I found it on Hannah at A Clockwork Reader’s channel, but couldn’t find the OP.

HAVE YOU EVER REGIFTED A BOOK YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN? 

I don’t think so? If I did, I’m pretty sure it was a gift that I gave to one of my friends when they showed interest in it. I don’t know if that counts, but it’s not like I took a book off my shelf and gave it as a birthday present…right? Maybe I’m rationalizing….oh well.

HAVE YOU EVER SAID YOU’VE READ A BOOK WHEN YOU HAVEN’T?

In every English class ever. Yes. All the time….but if any of my professors are reading this….this is a joke? *nervous laughter*….okay next question…

HAVE YOU EVER BORROWED A BOOK AND NOT RETURNED IT? 

I used to do this in elementary school all the time. The one I remember most prominentely is Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Peterson. I took this from my sister’s 4th grade classroom during open house, and I regret nothing. Before you ask, no- I still haven’t read it.

HAVE YOU EVER SPOILED A BOOK FOR SOMEONE? 

Never for a person interested in reading the book, but I talk to books with my mom, sister, and boyfriend alllllll the time. When I discuss books with my sister, I have to be a little more careful since we typically read the same kind of books, but my mom and boyfriend get spoiled for almost ever book I read.

HAVE YOU EVER DOGEARED A BOOK?

All the time. If it’s my book, I see no issue doing this. I write in and highlight my books all the time, so dogearring the page isn’t a huge deal to me. If it’s a library book, though, I wouldn’t do that.

HAVE YOU EVER TOLD SOMEONE YOU DON’T OWN A BOOK WHEN YOU DO? 

Um….no? That’s so weird?

HAVE YOU EVER TOLD SOMEONE YOU HAVEN’T READ A BOOK WHEN YOU HAVE?

Yeah…any time anyone asks if I’ve read Fifty Shades of Grey. Not that I’m ashamed that I read it, but smutty things aren’t my vibe. I only read it to see if there was plot within the story, but it isn’t the most socially accepted book with it being 90% smut…so yeah.

HAVE YOU EVER SKIPPED A CHAPTER OR SECTION OF A BOOK? 

If anyone says that they haven’t skimmed part of a book before, they are LYING. It happens, and it is okay to do.

HAVE YOU EVER BAD MOUTHED A BOOK YOU ACTUALLY LIKED?

Bad mouthed? No. Addressed the issues that make it a book I wouldn’t recommend? Yes.
