let’s talk about JKR

This is going to be a long one.

I’m going to start off by letting all y’all know how much I love the Harry Potter franchise. Harry Potter was there for me when no one else was. Hermione was the first character who didn’t make me feel like a freak for preferring to read at recess. Ron taught me how to be a good friend. I have a tattoo of Ron’s broken wand on my arm. This series is so important to me.

my favorite comfort reads

Since there is so much uncertainty in the world right now, I have noticed a lot of people are rereading old favorites. This, of course, may have something to do with the fact that we’re getting new content from The Hunger Games, Twilight, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but ya know.

My comfort reads are generally books that made me feel exactly what I needed to exactly when I needed to, but I also have some of my favorite nostaligic reads in there as well.

what i bought so far during quarantine (book haul)

When I get sad or anxious or depressed, I like to do some online shopping. I feel like that is a fairly normal thing to do, but it is one of the most effective coping mechanisms during this self-isolation. That said, I am beyond grateful for the delivery drivers, and I do try to be mindful of not creating more work for them, but sometimes it does slip.
