I know I don’t have to tell you that the world is on fire right now. Y’all know what is going on.
This post is going to be hard.
At this point, I’m sure we have all heard about Disney+ adapting Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Like most of the online bookish community, I am HYPED.
Since there is so much uncertainty in the world right now, I have noticed a lot of people are rereading old favorites. This, of course, may have something to do with the fact that we’re getting new content from The Hunger Games, Twilight, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but ya know.
My comfort reads are generally books that made me feel exactly what I needed to exactly when I needed to, but I also have some of my favorite nostaligic reads in there as well.
When I get sad or anxious or depressed, I like to do some online shopping. I feel like that is a fairly normal thing to do, but it is one of the most effective coping mechanisms during this self-isolation. That said, I am beyond grateful for the delivery drivers, and I do try to be mindful of not creating more work for them, but sometimes it does slip.

I actually hate borrowing books. It is probably my least favorite thing.
If you recommend a book to me, I will read it. If you offer your copy to me, I will happily take it. IMMEDIATELY AFTER, I will regret it.
